Crave Producer Guidelines
Crave (formerly The Movie Network) is a premium SVOD and Pay TV brand. Delivering more Emmy ® Award-winning programming than any other service, Crave is Canada’s premium entertainment offering, with HBO, SHOWTIME ® , Starz, Hollywood-hit movies, a superior collection of kid’s movies and programs, and thousands of hours of acclaimed television series, specials, factual programming, and originals that can’t be found anywhere else.
Series development
What we’re looking for – Series development
We look for highly original, entertaining, character-driven content, which appeals to our premium programming audience. Projects of interest include high quality comedic and dramatic series, both on-going and limited, as well as documentary series.

Canadian scripted feature pre-licensing
What we’re looking for – Canadian scripted feature pre-licensing
As a premium pay television service, we look for highly entertaining, critically-acclaimed premium programming, with a priority on bigger budget theatrical films. When pre-licensing an original Canadian feature with Crave, we actively seek an exclusive first Pay TV/SVOD window on the project.

Canadian documentary feature licensing
What we’re looking for – Canadian documentary feature licensing
As a premium SVOD and pay television service, we look for highly entertaining, critically-acclaimed premium programming. We are interested in features with broad audience appeal and high-profile buzz, ranging from highly-entertaining pop culture documentaries to films with iconic subject matter. We look at projects with cinematic appeal, creative attachments with a strong track record in high-quality docs and films with potential for theatrical release.

Feature film development
We do not develop feature films at Crave. If you are looking for development support for your feature film, please note that Bell Media’s feature film development program is managed independently through the Harold Greenberg Fund. Please contact them directly to enquire about development.
Completed projects (series, scripted features & documentaries)
As a premium SVOD and pay television service, we look for highly entertaining, critically-acclaimed premium programming across a breadth of genres. When evaluating completed projects, we are typically seeking an exclusive Pay TV/SVOD window.
If you are interested in submitting a completed series, scripted feature, or documentary, please send a synopsis of the project, any press materials, and a screening link to our acquisitions team at acquisitions@bellmedia.ca for licensing consideration.
Non-canadian licensing
We do not currently develop non-Canadian series or features at Crave.
